Women Readers

Women readers vote Billionaire Burgundy “sexier” than Detective Cannon. Devil’s Tea Party Author Paul Michael Campbell had female readers in mind when he crafted the moody maverick, detective Jake Cannon. With the scar above his left eyebrow, piercing dark eyes and muscular physique, the masterful detective was intended to leave ladies swooning. Yet, while many have stated that they were indeed drawn to Cannon’s magnetising masculinity, many female fans of the novel have revealed that it was in fact the stylish and devilishly flirtatious Billionaire Damian Burgundy who left them feeling flustered. This debate has prompted a familiar question to be raised yet again…do women secretly prefer a bad boy? With both characters oozing sexual energy, and the novel featuring multiple steamy encounters, one reader commented that “he writes ‘naughty’ better than most women authors I’ve read.” In response to these comments, Paul Michael Campbell has confirmed that he has in fact considered writing a raunchy romantic novel, once he has concluded the Devil’s Tea Party trilogy. “I’ve been playing around with the idea of a romantic saga spanning a decade and set in two separate continents, charting a complex entanglement between four characters. It would be a challenging change of pace to writing thrillers, but I love a challenge so watch this space.” With book two currently being edited and the third and final instalment now under way, a naughty novel may be in the works in the not too distant future.
